The world-renowned Scottish Fiddle Orchestra, makes its first visit to Shetland, at the opening of its 30th anniversary tour. It promises a feast of Scottish music, from lively jigs and reels to hauntingly beautiful slow airs written and arranged by Musical Director John Mason MBE. The 50-piece touring orchestra plus piper and singers, will delight you and leave a lasting memory of excellent Scottish entertainment. The SFO will be joined by young players from Shetland, and the concert will be compered by Jim McColl of BC Beechgrove Garden.
The SFO has performed worldwide, from Vancouver to Sydney Opera House, and its recordings have been sold in more than 70 countries. An memorable event not to be missed.
