Can someone tell me why Children are allowed to throw sherbet all over the place? Eat Chocolate and smear it on the seats? Throw crisps on the floor? I saw one woman slip on them and who only just stopped herself from falling over.
Why can't the driver keep some sort of order? I am sick of getting sticky gunk from sweets on my clothes. It's a bus NOT a cafe - surely the 'little darlings' can manage to last 20 minutes without stuffing their faces?
The other night there was a pushchair totally blocking the aisle. If there had been an emergency no one would have been able to get past it.
The town bus is for all and Mothers/Fathers/Carers should be made to keep their charges under control. Bus company please sort it out... Your passengers are sick of it.
Well of course such things are not allowed and indeed I think at least one of the town service buses has a notice about no food or drink to be consumed.
But in a way you have answered your own question. The driver cannot keep order because he or she is driving and hopefully watching traffic and the road ahead.
Couple of things you can do. If you see bad behaviour on the bus ask the driver to stop and deal with it. Or make a note of the date, time and route number and complain to the bus operator and Zettrans. Names and contact details of witnesses would help.
Remember there was some trouble over "unruly youth" at the bus station some time back and among other measures taken I understand that cctv has now been installed........or is going to be. Council/Zettrans do take such things seriously but they do need people to complain so that they know what problems there are.
