Wheelsup
I got an email from my new phoneline supplier, saying, "sorry to hear you're leaving us".I called them and they said BT is taking over my line in 10 days. Luckily i wasn't away and managed to cancel this. this happened to my neighbour and they were without phone and broadband for a fortnight! I called BT to complain, and they weren't interested.Anyone else experienced this?
Ghostrider
Not with a phone, but had something similar happen with electric a few years back. Got a letter 'welcoming me to Virgin Energy' when I'd neither requested nor agreed to have them as my supplier. I called Virgin immediately and all I got was an earful of attitude off them, it was only after being pig-headedly insistent they undo everything back to where they found it, did they finally reluctantly agree to do so. Then they sent me a bill in the post for 1p. Needless to say, I didn't pay it.
Colin
Sounds like you were "slammed". Used to be quite common a few years back but, haven't heard much about it lately.
