Tommy Robinson stitched-up

Recommended Posts

^ It was always going to backfire on the government whatever they did trying to shut Robinson up, if there's one thing better than just letting him get on with his ranting thats guaranteed to stir the pot, its closing him down.

Governments never seem to get this, or at least factor it in, that the one way to generate interest and garner support for anything, is to let the public see its bugging them and banning it.

Forbidden fruit and all that....

This case highlights how antiquated British law is regarding press reporting restrictions . In the age of the internet its impossible to stop all the conspiracy theorists particularly from the US making up all sorts of wild stories about these cases and the British press is unable to respond . The reporting restrictions on Robinsons case were supposed to last until he was released but was dropped after the UK press took legal action to have it lifted as every one except them were commenting on the case . This proves that these restrictions are no longer fit for purpose .

Look closer all 7 applications to start a HM Government petition about Tommy Robinson have been rejected . If a HM Government petition reaches 100,000 the issue must be discussed in parliament which is probably why the don't want to allow it .

You have to understand that the "rules" and "laws" in this class ridden country have been designed to protect a small minority and control the rest.

The so called "democracy" we have is just an illusion.

Once you have that in perspective, the rest of what we have to tolerate comes naturally.

Yes, the seven have been rejected. It does however prove that a lot of people are very pro Tommy. I don't know if Tommy is good or bad but it's obvious that a lot of people are for him. I wonder why.

His talk/interview in Oxford University shows what kind of character he is. That is a precursor to the video in my previous post. Where he is actually allowed to discuss what the state was doing with all the illegal arrests and blackmail. He and his whole family were threatened by Scotland Yard multiple times then he was threatened with further jail time if he spoke about it during his license conditions.

I know I'm going on about it but it wasn't until a month or so ago I thought he was a neo nazi thug. I like to think I'm a good judge of character and immune to media bias but in this case I was wrong.

This discussion is exactly about Tommy Robinson.

It looks like he is using this court case to raise publicity for his own cause, not for the good of the victims.

Perhaps, but if he'd not gotten all loud and shouty about it, would anybody have ever known such victims exist.

There's something rotten in a place when the minute a warrant is served on any one a crowd of old has-beens like Cliff Richard, Max Clifford, Dave Lee Travis, Jimmy Savile, Gary Glitter, Pete Townshend and god knows who else for similar alleged crimes from 40 years ago its immediately all over the press and media like a bad rash. Yet when a certain demographic of society is allegedly perpetrating the same MO repeatedly on an ongoing basis at various locations around the country, they're as silent as the grave.

If a media blackout was necessary 'in the interests of a fair trial' for these dudes, did the above former and washed up 'celebrities' get a 'fair trial', did any of the handful of locals up on similar charges who the minute they'd appeared in Court find themselves all over the local media, get 'a fair trial'.

Everybody is supposedly equal in the eyes of the law......

Robinson comes over as being a dick, I'm not going to try and pretend otherwise, but I'm not going to knock him for publicising what no-one else, including the multi-national media giants didn't have the balls to do.

Good question, I didn't know who he was until I googled him, now I've found out he's the founder of the English Defence League!

I genuinely know racists who think they're way over the top.

I think that he's tried to distance himself from the EDL but, if you fly with the crows, your going to get shot with them..

The big issue here is not so much the "establishment" getting even with Tommy Robertson, it's about freedom of speech..

The whole world was talking about the case but some judge decided that the UK could not.. Ludicrous..

As GR pointed out, the same judgement was not applied to Cliff Richard and others in fact, quite the reverse happened..

If ever a country needed a written constitution full of words like "inviolate"......
