I asked somebody the same question and they thought it was due to the government advice about coughing and sneezing into a tissue and then disposing of it straight away.Made a bit more sense to me than a desperate need at the other end of the body. In fact the Government want as many healthy people to get as possible it so as to build up an immunity to it for the future . The thousands who die will unfortunately be seen as collateral damage . While its reasonable to assume the virus attacks equally across the whole population demographic, unless hospitalisation/fataliity numbers are released covering at least the four ttraditional under 18, 18-40, 40-65 and over 65 demographics, There's no way of knowing whether they're spread reasonably evenly across the whole population demographic, which would be quite concerning, or whether 99% or the hospitalisations/fatalities were in the 65+ demographic, which, while sad, would be unsurprising and not unexpected.
