Is da Delts just too good?

Being a jags man myself, it pains me to say Delting have got too much in their armoury for the other teams in Shetland to cope with for the foreseeable future.

I would go as far to say this Delting team could hold their own comfortably in the Highland League.

Footballing dominance goes in circles, and Delting are pretty much untouchable for now like the Jags were in the mid to late nineties. They'll win the league for the next couple of seasons, what a thought!.

Delting would have won the league whether Flaws moved or not. There are a number of factors that have lead to the team becoming so strong.

As was highlighted in the Times a few weeks back, their ability to train outdoors all year round is a massive bonus and is alot more beneficial to the team than training in the Gibby Park games hall from October to April.

Delting also have a massive catchment area compared to other teams. Although the catchment areas are becoming less and less relevant. In the past if anyone up North wanted to play football, unless they to travel long distance, they are restricted to joining Delting. Whereas in the town Spurs, Thistle and Celtic are all competing to recruit players.
