Swimming with sharks

There were two Great White Sharks in the field of Dragons Saturday morning at Wailua Homesteads Park.

whuh?

Marshall Antony rounded out the Great White Shark roster.

The field of Dragons included Brady, Olsen, Caleb Greer and Lemke.

Elizabeth Linser gets help from Lisa Vye in keeping the Dragons roaring while Kekai Tuturu keeps the Kilauea Great White Sharks together.

“It was a great game played by both teams with outstanding defensive and offensive plays,” said one team mom.

Golf great Byron

Nelson dead at 94

..........

Known as Lord Byron for his elegant swing and gentle manner, Nelson won 31 of 54 tournaments in 1944-45. At age 34, he retired after the 1946 season to spend more time on his Texas ranch.

“When I was playing regularly, I had a goal,” Nelson recalled years later. “I could see the prize money going into the ranch, buying a tractor, or a cow. It gave me incentive.”

..........

I wonder if Sevvy Ballesteros had a similar incentive.... a cow, that is.

All tghis only makes me want to visit Hawaii more  Bonkers!

Tee-Ball is baseball with the ball hit off a 2 foot (or so) high tee, as opposed to being pitched.

It is a kids version of baseball. The Shetland league is for the smallest kids, and as they get bigger, so do the names of the leagues, with larger equine species with each level.

And if you are going to go to Hawaii, then Kauai is the best choice if you like a nice, quiet, relaxing time. Want partying, stick to Maui! :D

So let me get this straight.

Bairns ride around on Shetland ponies carrying baseball bats and from time to time they take a swing at a ball perched on some sort of stick? And as the bairns get bigger the horses involved get bigger ultimately resulting in adults atop of Clydesdale horses presumably?

Bonkers, as Njugle said. Do they drink red tins in Hawaii? It sounds like something worth staging at next years Big Bannock cavalcade. And then the Shetland team could travel to Hawaii for a World Series decider against their hosts!
