Jonners
Don't know what game you were watching but Ferguson was entirely anonymous in my opinion. Fletcher and Hartley were far better on the day. Considering none of them touched the ball in the first half I thought Hartley was a bit overwhelmed, while Fletcher was excellent - great pass through for the McFadden sliced shot - and Ferguson was very good as the match wore on, even passing the ball forwards at times! clanchief
What's Garry O'Conner all about? The whole country is on a high and he can't be arsed to travel with the Scottish Team. Walter should ban him from ever playing for Scotland again.
Frankie
I should also pick out Barry Ferguson, thats the best performance I have seen from him in a Scotland shirt since Wembley in 1999. Don't know what game you were watching but Ferguson was entirely anonymous in my opinion. Fletcher and Hartley were far better on the day. Now, now bob don't let petty Old Firm squabbles sour the tremendous performance by all the Scotland players.
bob saccamano
Sorry Frankie, I won't do it again. But really he was kinda rubbish. The game did pass him by a bit.

Walter should ban him from ever playing for Scotland again. I think we should wait until we find out what the story behind it is before we make rash statements like that. You have to remember, James McFadden did some very similar a few years back when he got hammered with the Scotland fans in Japan and missed his flight home. Judging by the comments made by O'Connor over the weekend, and the fact that it was his agent that contacted the SFA...not himself, I reckon he was using the time to have a chat with a few clubs about a move in January. junior
....wait until we find out what the story behind it is before we make rash statements like that. Don't be daft I reckon he's got sick of an overly strick regime in Moscow and grabbed the first chance he got to go OTT on booze and cocaine with both hands Wednesday should be more of a game for Boyd anyway: we should get more chances, which means more chance of him being involved. Kenny Miller will start on wednesday. Boyd will be on the bench. doesn`t do enough to be the lone striker

O'Connor was spotted drinking with friends in an Edinburgh pub called Walkabout the night before failing to turn up for Scotland training. (Mirror) even though its the mirror this sounds pretty likely
Wheesht
Sorry Tomlands but I think you are naive to think he was using the time for anything other than a night on the bladder in Embra. It to make his no show worse, he gets his agent to do his dirty work and "phone in sick" for him. Does the lad think they are stupid? He should be punted, the official line will not say that but he will be. The squad are on a high, we has soured that a little and any profesional manager worth his salt will just get rid. O'Conner needs to grow up, and quickly!
Tomblands
Apparently it wasn't his agent that phoned in for him, it was his mother.
nobbystiles
When James McFadden went AWOL out in the Far East he was supposed to be with a Shetland lass. Maybe O'Conner has done the same.

Wheesht
A taste of reality again!!!! I know the paranio will come out now but look at the facts. McFadden and Fletcher deserved their cards, in fact the boss should get into Fletcher for getting booked for mouthing off! Big eeejit Pressley maybe was not the last man but deserved to get straight red for a blatant cynical "take-out", Neilson did pull the man's shirt in the box, maybe soft but are we not all calling for this to stopped anyway? Scotland were beaten by a better side. Fact. And with the suspensions for the Georgia game we will now, as we expected, struggle badly to get out of this group. Glorious failure again! I know it sounds all very negative but we do tend to jump off the deep end when we acheive something. Face it, the French result was lucky, they could have won three or four nil easily, our previous run of wins included a home win against Faroe! markj
Everything you say wheesht is your opinion. Scotland lost 2-0 to Ukraine - fact Scortland beat France 1-0 - fact 9 points out of 12 - fact Still 8 games left to play - fact 24 points left to play for - fact Scotland can still qualify - fact Glorious failure again - don't understand that at all.
