Its the lifeboat crew you have to admire, they do a fantastic job in good weather, and a truley unbelievable job in really bad weather, I've been to sea in really really bad weather but I wouldnt have the courage to go to sea in a small boat like a lifeboat, well done those guy's.

If only everyone had the same level of respect for the RNLI! I'm in absolute agreement with you here, the RNLI crews country wide are marvellous. If I had to choose but one charity to support they'd be it.

Also let's not forget the sterling work of the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and Coastguard who fly in the worst of weathers to aid those in trouble at sea.

Now then, lets see if the met office forecast is right this time:

0300 8°C SSE 49 mph 72 mph Moderate

0600 8°C SSE 54 mph 73 mph Poor

0900 8°C SSE 52 mph 79 mph Poor

1200 8°C SSE 46 mph 73 mph Poor

1500 7°C SSE 48 mph 75 mph Very Good

1800 7°C SSE 46 mph 74 mph Poor

The 54 mph gusting 73 sounds significant to me....
