crofter
Sullom already produces Gasoline as a by product of the fractionation process onsite. There are no facilities for the matering or storage of the Gasoline so it is reinjected into the stabilised crude. Scandalous.

I used to work there and I don't remember anything about that.
mgb2010
It's a standard fractionation process. The gas and hydrocarbon liquids that are evolved during the stabilisation of the crude are separated into their various fractions by the fractionation columns. Methane & Ethane are used as fuel gas, Propane & Butane are stored, the remaining hydrocarbons are re-injected into the stabilised crude.Presumably its not cost effective to handle the gasoline.
