The terms "short term" and "long term" are slightly subjective.

"A couple of years, or family history goes back till records were kept?"

"I'm planning on staying here; I've been here; for 5 years, that must be long term?"

etc. etc.

Perhaps if it were expanded to incorporate more meaning to that two selections the overall results will be more reflective of Shetlinks user group.

**huge debate springs up**

Use you initiative man it’s nor rocket science (as GW Bush said to a chap at NASA who replied by saying “well actually it is Mr Presidentâ€).

Just interesting to see how the balance lies between those who choose to stay here (yea I do) and those who don’t but obviously have a interest in us and our peerie bit of the world.

Short-term, to me anyway, would be someone with a short-term job who had no longer term plan to stay in Shetland, loads of them at, for example, SVT.
