Any chance of a car programme that reviews cars that most people will actually drive?

Well if it's like mine scrap heap challenge would be about the right level. O r the cars they buy for 1k or less and do dasterdly deeds too

Have very little interest in cars other than getting A-B but top gear is hilarious, even the wife likes it.

Oh there are some. I believe one may have been called Fifth Gear. It was as dull as ... well, as reading Which, which is the other thing you might do if you were going to buy a new car. And then you'd discover that out of the huge choice available, the few models you might actually seriously consider and which conformed to your budget were last reviewed two years previously. And you wouldn't be remotely interested in it in the weeks it reviewed models which did not meet your criteria.

It's not about choosing a car - it's entertainment! When our two sons were still at home it was the only programme that all four of us looked forward to watching together and I think that ticks a lot of boxes.

Top Gear is my favourite programme by far. I even watch the repeats on Dave - endlessly! You actually find you miss little quips, there are so many of them.

When the lights went off in the studio last night, it was just mad. It's like slapstick comedy - brilliant.

The thing that it has over it's poor cousin; Fifth Gear, is that the 3 guys are best of mates and not just 3 people that work together.

Apparently Judas Iscariot, I mean Stig, has joined Fifth Gear. Don't they have any ideas of their own? Also I believe a bad move for the producers of Fifth Gear. After all, Top Gear is streets ahead in viewability amongst the type of audience that watches those shows. Surely Top Gear fans will now be even less inclined to tune in to Fifth Gear as it features 'Judas' (well after the first show curiousity has worn off)
