Roachmill
^Wasn't expecting it to be the last episode, so I was slightly miffed by the way the story was getting wrapped up all of a sudden. I was worried this was to be another great series... suddenly cancelled. Thankfully, it'll be back

Roachmill
The straight-to-TV 2 part Day of the Triffids remake due out next year.Set in 2011, millions of people are blinded when they observe a meteor shower, leading to a breakdown in civilisation. The Triffids, an oil-producing plant crop, escape captivity and begin to breed rapidly and attack people. It is up to Dr Bill Masen to fight against them to prevent the end of humankind. The new adaptation is due to start filming in London and the south-east later this year. All I really remember from the 1981 version was the terrifying (as I mind it anyway) noise those 10' tall plastic plants made. That, and the lashing tongues smacking folk across the chops

I've just finished watching the first series. Wow. I can't wait for the next season. The Sookie Stackhouse books are absolute trash, but Alan Ball and HBO have taken the stories and made something awesome.
