After all not much point living within your means. Exactly!I keep wondering why we keep re-electing councils that waste money but try to kick out council members that try to save money. The front page of last weeks Shetland times carried the news of the current state of councils finances. We cannot afford it!I would support Mareel if it didnt mean that public services would suffer in the long term (believe me, they will).

Guest Anonymous
Just out of interest, apart from the cafe/bar, what are the 16 wte jobs going to be doing. That's a hell of a lot of cleaners and ice cream sellers!! Scratching their asses and wondering if they have just been employed to make up the numbers in the venue. Just joking... Seriously given the opening hours of a venue like that, it would take that sort of staff level to cover it, and give a reasonable degree of service. And I'd guess members on this forum would be the first to complain if they weren't served their popcorn and pisswarm beer immediately on their entrance to the establishment.
