khitajrah
I didn't even want to leave my house, going to the school to pick up my child and the ensuing wind burn on my face was sufficient to keep me indoors.
fratelli
Thats just what I was thinking Styles I couldna even be bothered to go as far as the shed for coal for the fire. Surely it wasna a Shetlander, was it? Rona's Hill is a hell of a trek on a fine day in the summer, never mind mid February with rain, sleet and wind chill of about minus 10. Sod that. clockwatch
What a selfish and stupid individual. (** MOD EDIT **) What was he hoping to achieve anyway by climbing the hill in the dark!
fratelli
I think each of the 30 coastguard team should be allowed to give him a free kick up the ass at the very least, for being such a numptie. After 12 hours on Rona's Hill he prob winna feel it anyway.

(neither am I but you wouldn't have caught me out there ) I know he was advised about the weather etc but he chose to carry on.I was also told by someone who spoke to him yesterday afternoon that he wasn't properly clothed. A complete idiot I agree he should be made to cover all costs plus stand all the coastguards etc who spent hours looking for him a damn good drink. JustMe
Crazy person.......I would not even have considered walking up the Ronas Hill road yesterday without being dressed in good quality kit and carrying a full emergency pack. Njugle
8O I canna believe anybody would be that dense, reckless and feckless. What was he/she trying to do, get a free flight to iceland by putting their jacket above their head, like bairns do on a windy hill? Seriously though, there wouldn't even be any view in yun weather.
