Guest Anonymous
Well to quote Tom Morton "Edges and Spaces is a triumph, packed full of great songwriting and splendid performances" And to quote Ian Anderson it is " arguably the most complete album ever to come out of Shetland" Personally I think it is excellent and not what people would necesarily expect it to be. The arrangements and the variety of instruments and backing musicians really give the sound depth. If you've not heard it I would certainly recommend it. I believe you can download a taster off his website. Important to support local musicians I feel. Its a brave thing to do to put out your own CD. Jenna Reids solo album is really good too. And I dont usually like fiddles! Her album has a really modern feel to some of the stuff but enough tradition to maintain her roots. The piano and double bass are fantastic.
