Kephas4
Nimono (excuse spelling) seafood. Squid and strawberries shouldn't be on the same plate.
Fjool
Strawberries and balsamic vinegar, however, go very well.

KTL
Songbird ,(very small, brown, crunchy) maybe larks? bones n'all. Had them at a wedding in the mountains of North Italy. Came in a rich cream sauce, Thought they were "nut cutlets" or some other veggi thing... the miming of my hosts "tweet, tweet, flap" eventually gave the game away. Went off them a bit after that. soljey
It's not necessarily what I've eaten but was in Riga in Latvia once. There they have a gigantic market in 3 old Zeppelin sheds. In them they sell fish fresh from tanks which they put into your bag still writhing. They display and sell every part - and I mean EVERY part - of sheep, cattle and pigs. In Tunisia, in a town on the edge of the Sahara, walking along the back streets we saw horse's heads for sale in the butchers shops. NO idea what they were for.
