Guest Anonymous
You would think having a little common sense, their manager(s) would have equipped them with more than just a notebook and pencil to remove said dog poo. Surely if the council are having cutbacks they shouldn't be paying people to walk around in red jackets scribbling in notebooks, pretending to keep the place tidy. common sense and the council rarely if ever go hand in hand

piggywiggie
i have noticed a lot more people not picking up around my area, i was confused as to why people have all of a sudden stopped. I have since been told that you can no longer get dogs bags from sic as they can no longer get them either. I suppose others are too stubborn to buy ones from shop! Ghostrider
^^ Why must it be special bags for the job, just about everything comes in a plastic bag these days, I'm sure most folk have more plastic bags to throw away than dog's asses to make a deposit in each one before they do. unlinkedstudent
^^ I doubt that SIC can't get them - there are loads of manufacturers of plastic bags. If they have stopped supplying them free of charge as a cost-cutting measure then that I can understand. Totally agree Ghostrider - I find that the plastic bags some loaves of bread come in are just the right size!

tlady
We carry scented nappy sacks when walking our daughters dog, not that we ever need them, cause he's trained to go in his own garden.
~Annie~
Tesco Value Scented Nappy Sacks about 50p for 300 ... so anyone within reach of Tesco has no excuse for not having bags for poo picking I actually get unscented ones at 9p for 100, but they come from Sainsbury's. Can't abide folk who let their dogs foul public spaces ... grrrr !
Guest Anonymous
all the country shops have poop bags available for free.
jaydee67
The free bags are coming to an end - any shops that still have them will not be getting new ones as they were supplied by environmental services and as part of cost cutting, they will no longer be supplying free bags. shetlandpeat
We come across dog extrusions all the time. So, taken from something mentioned here, I circle the offending pile with orange semi perm road marker, and it does seem to raise a few comments.Folk who have commented seem to be in favour. It also stops anyone walking through it as it is now highly visible.Nothing worse than that nutty smell coming from your boots as the van heater warms them up while you are eating your Nutella pieces. It may be a good sign that a bad smell follows you around, it sorta shows how lucky you are not to be smelling like that yourself.
