You've really got to fear for Yell though - take it easy on them everyone, you know it makes sense.

If the likes of Delting and Whalsay don't take it easy then I dread to think what the scores could be.

But I do think we can get a few good results if only our players would play instea of going on the p*ss.

Yell were missing 10 potentially starting players for the game in Unst on Saturday (and not just because they were "in the pub"), so ease off. Details in the "Shetland Football AGM" thread. With a full team out it would have been a very different story.

Ness were without Ian Bray, Sean Grogan and Alwyn Flaws, Jim Goudie and Keiran Malcolmson are still away at uni. No sure as to who Burra were missing. Ness went 1 nil up and were the better team for the first 20 mins, then Burra went 3-1 up before half-time. Ness started well for the second half and clawed their way back to go 5-3 up with Burra getting a late goal through a Laurence Pearson free-kick at the end to make it 5-4, some good goals from both teams including a Craig Leslie goal from near the halfway line and a pretty impressive own goal fae the Burra right-back.

I for one think its good to see the self-named "Spurs Party Boys" starting the season with a bang and playing football "the way it should be played". I heard that they played with ten men for much of the game against Whalsay and still managed to keep a clean sheet, that in itself is very impressive. Surely if they maintain this kind of form they won't be far from the title come September.

Any thoughts?

Spurs have always traditionally started strong in the league and this year would appear to be the same but I don't think they'll be anywhere near the top of the league when the prizes are handed out (personally I don't think they'll even be top 3). Their squad is already stretched and have young boys playing that will invariably burn out before the end of the season. I do however agree that Spurs do try and play the game the way it is meant to be played.
