So now you've dumped phpNuke (and put me off ever thinking about it)... what are you using to have such a nicely integrated site? a lot of customised coding?

It's a customised content management system. It enables discrete software applications to run within the site. As was mentioned earlier, the problem is getting the applications' databases to 'talk' to each other and have one global login for each user

Theres been a fair bit of custom coding to create the upgrade.

The YouTube mod for instance has just been installed.

How do you go about getting stuff added to the events calender?

So from speaking with the boys, if everyone wishing to have an event put on the new calendar, if you email admin@shetlink.com in the meantime they'll get it up for you until the extra coding is done.

Like so. :)

Hi Fifi. It's probably a cookie problem, caused by cookies from the 'old' Shetlink login system persisting in your browser

The solution (I hope) is to delete the Shetlink cookies from your browser.

As far as we're aware, it only affects Firefox users

For Firefox ->

select 'Preferences'

select 'Privacy'

select 'Show Cookies'

search for 'Shetlink'

delete all the Shetlink cookies (you'll probably have to do it one at a time)

return to Shetlink and log back in

If anyone else is having similar problems on other browsers, post a message here and we'll try to get it sorted

Same issues with Camino plus a strange side effect ....

If I click on the link in a Shetlink email I go to the topic on shetlink, but when I try to answer it asks for my username and password, but then doesn't accept it. The only solution seems to be to click on the Home tab, log in there then go to the forum and reply
