May I offer my most humble apologies for having the temerity to offer a quote from a tabloid paper.

I do hope that the Telegraph meets with your approval.

Perhaps you would supply a list of newspapers that satisfy your highbrow tastes and I shall endeavour to use only those.

Christ - I'm prepared to keep an open mind - but if this post is going to deteriorate (!) to a series of cut and pastes from the most cerebrally challenged tabloids around, what's the point?

I have to agree with you Koy(and I hate agreeing with anyone) at best that pair of muppets left 3 peerie bairns alone while they went on the piss at worst well...

I have no sympathy for them only for the bairns, Madeline for who knows what happened to her and the twins because they will be stuck with that pair of self rightious twats as parents

The term troll is highly subjective. Some readers may characterize a post as trolling, while others may regard the same post as a legitimate contribution to the discussion, even if controversial. The term is often used to discredit an opposing position, or its proponent, by argument fallacy ad hominem.

The term troll should be used with attention since it is a very easy way of undermining an opposing point of view. Sometimes, overly using the word "troll" may constitute trolling in itself.

Ad hominem abusive usually and most notoriously involves insulting or belittling one's opponent, but can also involve pointing out factual but ostensibly damning character flaws or actions which are irrelevant to the opponent's argument. This tactic is logically fallacious because insults and even true negative facts about the opponent's personal character have nothing to do with the logical merits of the opponent's arguments or assertions. This tactic is frequently employed as a propaganda tool among politicians who are attempting to influence the voter base in their favor through an appeal to emotion rather than by logical means, especially when their own position is logically weaker than their opponent's.

In general, ad hominem criticism of evidence cannot prove the negative of the proposition being claimed.

"All Kate is asking for is to be left alone to continue searching for her daughter.

Does this mean she no longer needs public help?

"We have seen her cry every night and every day for her lovely wee Madeleine. All she wants is to have her back.

Yet she told radio four she slept fine at night after the first few days.

KATE McCann yesterday begged her accusers: "Leave me alone to find my Madeleine."

The Radio Four interview: would that be the same one where she "welcomes" their being considered as suspects as it is a sign of a "thorough investigation"?

And I would tend to make a distinction between a family member claiming that she 'crys every night and every day' and, for instance, Kate McCann herself saying "i cry all night and all day and hence have no time for sleeping". No?

Maybe. I dont spend much time with them on an evening, so no I cant swear to it. They just seem a long way from the sobbing type.

Why when the DNA was found in the boot weren't they busy trying to help with information of anyone "else" who might have had contact with their car. If it was me in Gerrys shoes I'd be taking a hard look at friends and anyone who had been near the car, not making up theories about nappies.

There is more than just their big media smiles to go on.

Well I'd contest that they had 'big media smiles' but even if they did, why would that be a sign of guilt--if they were that bad why would they make it obvious, surely they'd be more inclined to act upset?

As for more to go on, like what specifically?

btw why does it say 2:11pm on my post? I posted at 3:11pm
