Fjool
Aww geez... this thread gets worse and worse. Hate having to lock things, but I hate having to go back and tediously tidy things up even more. Fjool
At the request of users, I have unlocked this thread. I will not hesitate to lock it again if things start to degenerate the way they did previously. Be nice now.
EnglishinScotland
And when you say 'keep up', you implied they lost the kid 'out on the lash' just a few posts before, then a few posts later that they killed her, so what was I to think? Don't deny your own incoherence. What I said was Silly people who didn't lose their children while out on the lash, you surely mean"You surely mean" as in referance to the system of thinking that follows the belief that they are the victims here. You didn't answer my first point from that post, I'd be interested for your thoughts. They are victims, of their own ill-judgement yes, but victims nonetheless, and until you can prove otherwise, stop making baseless assertions. Pleepsie
Many thanks Fjool for unlocking this thread. Lets hope we can all keep a cool head when replying to posts. I think it is important to keep threads that reflect the topics that are in the news alive - even though we occasionally overstep the bounds. Once again I thank the moderators for keeping an eye on things - thankless task though it is.

They are victims, of their own ill-judgement yes, but victims nonetheless, and until you can prove otherwise stop making baseless assertions. As I said, I was going by your idea of what happened, which would place them out on the lash, to many this has become nothing more than their flimsy alibi. And don't suppose for a second you can tell me what and what not to do based around your own assertions.Apart from the twins there is only one victim I recognise in all this. Pleepsie
This quote regarding Kate Mccann is from the interview with the Spanish TV channel: She appeared to have tears in her eyes as she said repeatedly: "We still have hope." http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=489783&in_page_id=1770&ct=5 I actually have tears 'running' down my face when I stub my toe on the leg of the bed. I'd be howling my eyes out if my daughter was missing!!! (I know the daily mail is a tabloid - but this was reported in all the online papers, I just chose a tabloid to wind Newmagne up )

You can't say with certainty what you'd do in a theoretical situation that hsan't happened to you. Just because they don't openly or extravagantly show emotion does not mean they're not in distress. KOYAANISQATSI
Here's the interview:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_26_NCWl7KA Kate making baseless assertions that Madeleine is in someone's house and Gerry Mccann with something in his eye. Either that or somethings making him blink an awful lot through his statement.Google your own meanings for that, I wouldn't want to speculate. KOYAANISQATSI
I reckon your just as guilty of that on the issue of their innocence but with less to back it up.
EnglishinScotland
I reckon your just as guilty of that on the issue of their innocence but with less to back it up. Not really. The onus is on you to prove how they did it. How they killed their child, then managed to convince the friends they were holidaying with that they'd lost her, friends who can probably testify to when they had last seen Madeleine, then managed to dispose of the body unnoticed whilst being under media scrutiny.........? As an aside if someone appears to want to believe the worst about them with no evidence, I think that reflects badly on that person. There are perhaps some issues with envy of the McCanns going on there I think.

I can say with certainty that I would have shown the effects of private grief on my face and bearing in the 5 months before being made a suspect. If you look at the photos and news videos of Kate Mccann in the first 5 months she is shown looking remarkably well. It is only in the last month, since she has been made a suspect that she has shown any traces of strain. My point is, that in the Spanish TV show, is that she is completely emotionless. There is no creasing of facial muscles , no red eyes, nothing to show genuine grief, and apart from shielding her eyes, and a brief wipe of the face ((wiping away a tear) which was followed by the tucking of her hair behind her ear) there is no trace of raw emotion. Even if you allow for her putting on a 'brave face', the complete lack of any emotion is weird. Perhaps she is just unfortunate in having a stony face, but I think you will find that this aspect of her is just difficult for most people to accept. I had no intrest in returning here until your request so grow up and give over with your petty attempts to make me the villain here. And what the hell do you think it is I envy in the Mccann's or their self served situation, I am more than happy to leave them to the hell of their own making. Me and my partner and our children are very happy thankyou and we like to spend as much time as possible with them and make suitable arrangements if we need to go out without them. I disagree, I think she's looked incredibly worn actually. As for not weeping all the time, some people are just more objective and cool about trauma(doctors particularly are known for developing this ability to deal with what they see), doesn't make them bad people.
