The Scottish Cup is not underway yet so no i should not include it as a competition we are invloved in.

Aberdeen where stuggling with injuries before the CIS cup game against Dundee Utd (when i made the initial post) then the League game against Utd and had a big game in Europe after that. Three different competitions in a short space off time anyone else struggling to get my point?

  • 4 weeks later...

If we win against Copenhagen on the 20th, we qualify for the knockout stages. Biggest game in years!

Presumably the SPHell will be bending over backwards and postponing your game from the previous weekend....?

Good point Maroon person. Aberdeen should be pressing for that help now, if they want it. There is always the mind set that playing an remaing match sharp is better than "resting".

Whats good for the goose is good for the sheep.

Shame it's a bigot's only rule.

Wasn't aware of any rule and Rangers are the first club to ask, I think, so a bit unfair there maybe.

If the Dons want to postpone they should get in there, the single game has now become important financially and obviously a footballing sense.

That truly is a joke. I wonder if Rangers would have been as keen to cancel if they had been playing at home and had to sort out hospitality for the match? Would their fans that cross the Irish Sea every second Saturday have been happy to make rearrangements?

And Gretna need all the help they can get!! What are they doing?! They should have kept the game on the Sunday.

Not if they are playing Rangers that weekend......

Possibly, if they are playing one of the lesser teams that weekend.

Well done to the SFA for backing the club teams in Europe and help them anyway they can, Scottish football is at an all time high at the moment and we want to keep it there.

Celtic should have done the same as Rangers but probably thought they would get knocked back.

With the mighty Dons playing on the thursday is there any reason to cancel the Saturday before game 4 days to rest or 11 days without a competitive game?

Come on the Dons
