BigMouth
http://www.m-99.co.uk/ I was amazed to find that the above company were selling cases for the Motorola F3. They were the only ones in the country that were so I sent off the few quid for the case. When the case arrived it was huge. I could have got three F3s in it so I took a picture of the phone in the case and sent it to them and asked for the address to which I could send the phone for a refund. I attached a photo to show how ridiculously big the case was. No answer. I emailed again to advise them that if they didn't respond I would use a charge-back against their account for the case. No answer. The amount is irrelevant to me. It is the principal behind it. I am still waiting for a reply so my advice is think carefully before using this company. Customer satisfaction is obviously not in their sales dictionary.
Pooks
I bought a few bits and pieces from them years ago. It all came as described albeit the quality wasn't the greatest (but it was cheap). I had no need to contact them, so I can't comment on their customer service.
Medziotojas
Taken from music forum/didgeridoo thread My new didge arrived yesterday however either DHL or Northwards screwed it up and it was snapped! This was a 192 quid instrument and it arrived trashed. No impressed. Worst of all DHL dont offer insurance on wooden goods. I had a bad experience with DHL two years ago here in Vilnius. I had lost my bank cards and decided the safest option was to have them sent via courier. Not only did DHL take a week to get my cards here, but on their arrival I was charged somewhere in the region of £50 or £60 - I don't remember the exact figure now. Anyway, when I went back to Shetland for a couple of months work after the summer, my father informed me that he had already paid the same sum. Needless to say I was immediately in contact with DHL regarding this, but as a period of three months had elapsed then I was told that there was nothing they could do! I had a bit of a run in here a couple of weeks ago and once again was left cardless. The good old Post Office had my cards here withing three or four days (signed for). Twerto
Just had a strange experience with DFS sofa company. My girlfriend phoned them up to enquire about a few things before we went through with the sale.. and despite them going to charge £250 to deliver it to Shetland.. which made me choke on my cuppa tea.. they refused to sell it to her.. because she couldn't vote ( as in she is a foreign national not under age. ) even so she was going to pay for it in one go and not over 3 or 4 years.. ( which i could understand from their point of view ) they wouldn't accept her as a customer unless she had stayed here for 3 years.. yes I could go and order it through my name.. but I be fooked if they are getting my business now. edit: back to John lewis now I think.. BigMouth
Cutting a very long story short. I spent a week trying to get through to the Visa Dispute Line about the phone case from Manufacturing99 and gave up, then wrote a couple of letters. Nothing happened until I got a letter from Visa Dispute telling me that because my claim had not been dealt with within 6 months it was going to be binned. Failure to deal with the dispute was there fault not mine. I complained to the Complaints department of my bank laying out the details of the case. They rang me this morning and told me that I would receive £50 in compensation. A reasonable return for a £3.50 case! Persistence pays off in the end.
