Guest Anonymous Posted May 23, 2007 Report Share Posted May 23, 2007 Very sad news, and yes it would be very fitting for a memorial to Willie, and his influence on music in Shetland, and further afield, to be erected.Willie played, and gave people so much pleasure, so often in The Lounge, that a statue near there would seem almost fitting. Meh sister went oot wi' his brother once or twice.. Yes, I echo the sentiments and also think the suggestion of Peerie Willie sitting strumming on a bench would be lovely.
