Chrish
I want a shed, or a hut, or a garage, or something out there on the back lawn on which used to be the kids play area before they grew up and left (thanks for that, girls) On the other hand I'm not really what you might term 'capable' in the context of building and joinery and construction related stuff. So is there a local company out there that offers the whole deal? Who will dig the founds, pour that greyish hard stuff whatever it's called, and then erect aforementioned edifice?I know there are local firms who will - for example - sell you a shed, or some blocks, or even slices of wood, just as there are also companies who mix and transport the grey sludge stuff, but is there anyone will do everything? Not that I'm lazy or anything C.
Njugle
Im pretty sure in saying that a number of the local builders will provide the 'total package' for something like this. In particular the smaller firms, ie not those who specialise in new build houses. I seem to recall that Robertson and Reid do a lot of shed work and alternatively Watt and Duncan are an example of a firm who draw together all the necessary contractors to fulfill a job such as yours. Eg for a garage: Digger hire, building, plasterers, electrician and plumbers and suchlike. Most of the small firms will, or should, provide this kind of project management, it pays to shop around. As a footnote local builders seem to be very busy this year, to the extent that i've heard tell of a couple of folk requiring newbuild properties that have had to hire in firms from outwith Shetland to get them done! So, you will find someone reputable to do your job, but don't expect it to happen next week. HTH
