KOYAANISQATSI
Oh yeah, and the same goes for the idiots who get there toddlers ears pierced for the sake of their own vanity, stick to ramming metal through your own stupid faces.
Fjool
If the effectiveness against HIV infection is as they say in ArabiaTerra's link it might be the case that in future you might have the law step in if you don't agree to your kid's circumcision.I think you'll find that simply not sticking one's knob into random people is much better for protecting against HIV. No need for genital mutilation. Anyway, what I meant to say is: this is all getting rather off-topic.
Gibber
Circumcision is common amongst non-Jews for hygenic and health reasons all over the world. Even Bixter! For health reasons or personal choice cause you like it that way is one thingy but as for the hygiene excuse, it's not as if they're living in some ancient desert with nothing but cacti to scrub it with. Surely by now there is some sort of washing facilitys. Have you been to Bixter?
scrutineer
when i read the thread subject i yawned and wandered off but after an erroneous mouse click i read fjools post quite an amusing thread - iff "a little" off topic but thanks for making religion funny- mind you its always been a joke anyway

No need for genital mutilation. And I think you'll find you're in for a long wait if you want to see the day when people stop sticking their knobs into random people. No need for condoms either by your reasoning. You forget that making love is the most wonderful, intimate, meaningful and spiritual experience that money can buy (^this is a joke)

Bigstan
In reply to the OP (since it's been a while since anyone did ). I'm a member of 5 different forums and none of these has a "religion" section. I think the admin team on any forum usually take the demographic of the members into consideration and structure the forum in such a way that the majority are catered for, within reason. If we were to have a forum where every subject in which every member was interested had it's own separate subforum, we'd probably have 1,000 subforums with a few threads each. If you want to generate a discussion on religion then I suggest you pick the most suitable section available and go from there (although, judging by the path this thread has taken, I doubt very much if you'll have any huge success ).
