Jeemsie1989
Fort is the best for me.Followed at distance by Ian'sWhich is closely followed by the Haddock.
RickB
For me the best is Ians chippy.I find the Fort overpriced with terrible service, although the food can be good.Happy Haddock is very hit or miss. Can be edible although usually inedible.

PJ of Hildisvik
At last only 11 miles to a chippy ,not 37, should be a profitable buisness as it is stratigically placed to catch all the Bairns from Brae High!Healthy eating at the school out of the window?? sassermaet
^^^ I fear the school are way ahead of them Additionally at Brae, you have to be in fifth or sixth year before you're allowed out without needing permission from teachers. PJ of Hildisvik
^^^^I know my two go there,I'm afraid the schools idea of healthy, seems to be cheesy pasta, or anything not containing meat, this doesn't make it healthy though, when adding loads of dressings and oils and cheese, old habits die hard or never as the case may be. sassermaet
^^^ My mam's pal has four young bairns, the oldest of whom will be seven in January and is now in primary two at Brae. The year before she was due to start school I can remember her mam being horrified that the primary one bairns in the year ahead of her got fed turkey jetters on their first day. My mam tells me school dinners at Brae are better than they were when I was there but it doesn't seem that way to me... Anyway, back on topic - can't wait to try Frankie's when I come home from uni for Christmas

Suzanna
I called into Frankies on my way home from work and got a small haddock supper, pleased I opted for a small as I couldn't manage it all, the dog got a share though and we both enjoyed it, as good as the fort anyday.
