Frankie
I support Rangers. Thing is I am not a biased one. Me too I wouldn't say that winning the league for last 2 years and still in all 4 competitions this year is '' mismanagement on the park'' though. muckletrow
Here is mismanagement. Current debt £27m Loan from Murray Sports £108m http://www.heraldscotland.com/business/corporate-sme/murray-faces-108m-hit-if-rangers-buyer-refuses-to-take-on-club-s-debt-1.1020769 Probable tax bill ( court case in June ) £24 -£55m Total debt £159 - £190m This is why we cannot get a buyer. JohanofNess
Best thing that could happen is the Old Firm get their wish and head off to the EPL, Rangers would get snapped up by some investment group or a former middle eastern dictator on the run from protestors and the SPL would become a halfway competitive league. Rangers are struggling to find a buyer because of the lack of money hanging around Scottish football, once you've bought the club you'll still have to be frugal unless you are some mad sheikh who doesn't realise that SPL clubs can't play Man Utd or Arsenal on a saturday. It's actually because of good management on the park that Rangers' finances are not even worse !
muckletrow
Well we have a team that is far more expensive being humiliated by Celtic in the last 3 old firm meetings. Neil Lennon has clearly done a better job on a smaller budjet. On that evidence we will lose champions league money (£15m) as I cannot see us winning the league this year. muckletrow
As I said, I'm a realist and not biased. Just because Rangers are still in europe doesn't make us the better team. To be fair Celtic were out of europe before they got a chance to gell. I do not hold any hope of progressing tomorrow. All that proves is that we got further than them, but no cigar. Frankie
^^There was a couple of guys in the office discussing that just the other day. Looks like it's the £2.8 Million tax bill that reared it's head when Whyte was in the process of the takeover.
