fordcapri
Celtic had dir erses ta da wall bak in da 90's but thankfully dae came through, whilst no a celtic fan i didna want tae see dem go under, I duna want ta see ony team goin under as i realise you need other good teams to compete and make the game entertaining!! sure its great to see your team winning but really it gets a bit boring and repetitive! I used to love Scottish fitba but since da demise o great teams lik Aberdeen its turned intae a 2 horse race every year since da 90's. I hate the way that some foks think this is a good thing thats happened to Rangers, are some fok so blinkered wi bigotry and hatered that thay cannot see that this could have dire results for da future of scottish football?? that means EVERY team!!! whilst watchin sky news earlier today i was glad to hear a 10year old Celtic fan sayin this was a sad day for SCOTTISH football! glad to see he has sense and he hasnt been brought up wearin da blinkers o bigotry! You're right that this will affect all teams in Scotland and we should all be worried, however, both Rangers and Celtic would be off to the EPL like a shot without a care for the rest of the SPL if they were offered the chance and most of their support would think that was brilliant. So worried - yes, but still seeing plenty to laugh about in the situation.

fordcapri
Duna tink its taks a rocket scientist ta wirk oot dat its a aberdeen supporter dats so obviously written loose fitting ratings/stats! doh! One thing dat really annoyed me aboot yun obviously non-biased truthful article was the use of religion and Union jack waving etc!! I aint religious and dont wave a Union jack! Religion has sweet F.A. ta dow we fitba!! we all support different teams and tink wir team is da best an da iddir team is really bad! dat feelins dat can be real hatred will never change, Yu will find the information you need and or want in ony article, these people that wryt these things are very good in thier manipulation. Erm check oot aa da replies ta da article below it an yu cin read wha supports wha an whit da tink o it....no surprises really.Hopefully common sense will prevail, if you tink Rangers demise would be a good thing then good fur de, as i said before I duna tink da demise o'ony team especially in da Spl wid be a good thing. If Rangers and Celtic hae owir muckle o a strangle hold on da Spl den mibe dae shood move on Epl onybody? ha towt as much!As far as i cin see Rangers can be beat by any Spl team on any dae!! they aint invincible!I was congratulated last year early in da season by a celtic supporter on winning da league! "I said you fool its you dat will win da league!! Rangers aint good enough to hold onto a 10 point lead!" shows foo muckle faith he had in his beloved team! now hes claiming glory fur Celtics victory after abandoning them! eh?" yu might say i hae nae faith in my team...I do, but im also realistic and i wont stumble along blinded by the color of my team! if dae aint good enough im da first tae admit it! and wi fat ally at da helm i wisna convinced he wis da right man fur da job...time will tell dow. Really? Could you quote the parts where religion are mentioned? Seriously - read the article again and then tell us what bits you find untruthful... For me, this is potentially the greatest chance the authorities will ever have to level the playing field in Scottish football and ensure that the Old Firm leeches don't continue to suck the life-blood out of the game. Do they have the will? I'm not holding my breath.

Remember 1994 when Celtic were minutes from liquidation? And the Rangers supporters who bang on about the Inverness game that cost John Barnes his job at Celtic in February 2000- Super Caley go ballistic Celtic are not very good etc.. That result has brought Rangers to its knees. Barnes was sacked, Martin O’Neil was brought in. He bought wiser than Rangers and a Celtic board who backed him with a workable budget. Rangers when faced with this threat. Bought Flo for £12m, Ronald DeBoer for 6m , Michael Ball £6m, etc and set up this tax dodge ETB’s to finance their wages and others since then. Who’s laughing now?

mossbanker tim
I note the following in the Daily Record today:- NEIL LENNON last night hinted that calls will be made for the 13 trophies won by Rangers between 2001 and 2010 to be wiped from the history books if it’s proved use of Employee Benefit Trusts gave the Ibrox club an advantage. The Celtic boss admitted he will feel a personal anger if it emerges that he was denied two championships as a player in 2003 and 2005 because of ‘financial doping’ at Ibrox. Rangers’ use of EBTs between 2001 and 2010 form the crux of the battle the club is having with HMRC, the result of which is expected to be revealed next month. And Lennon, who saw his side move 14 points clear of Rangers after they were deducted 10 points for going into administration on Tuesday, has no sympathy for his rivals’ plight. Although he has plenty for Gers boss Ally McCoist and the players and staff whose jobs are at risk. Rangers won four titles, five Scottish Cups and four League Cups during the spell under investigation by the tax authorities and Lennon insists the validity of those successes would be scrutinised if the tax case goes against them. He said: “I don’t want to comment on it until all the results and all the findings are out. But if it has had a direct effect on me in my playing days, I will come out and say something at that time. “They’re in administration for a reason. It’s not my business, not our club’s business, but it will be if it has affected me as a player or previous managers and has denied us titles and trophies in the past. “A journalist used the expression ‘financial doping’. For me, doping is a sporting term for cheating. In athletics, if you are caught doping you are banned. Alberto Contador got stripped of his Tour de France win in 2010, so there are precedents. “It’s all hearsay and hot air at the minute but until the findings are out, we as a club won’t comment any more on it.†I would also point out that if this does happen, Rangers would no longer be the most successful team in the world. Also, if Rangers are liquidated any Rangers would be a new club (even if the are called Rangers and play at Ibrox). This would mean Rangers won 49 titles full stop, end of story. Any title won in the future will be their first.
justsomeguy
Celtic, the most classless organisation in the world. Also - even if Rangers are liquidated (which wont happen) they would retain their full history. Fiorentina, Parma, Leeds Utd and Middlesbrough have all gone through a liquidation type event and they all still have their histories intact.
