Seems that BT, and other telcos, are only in it for the massive government subsidies thrown at broadband but, only install the minimum amount of kit necessary to meet a "target". I am sure there must be users in Shetland who receive download speeds than this? Good news about being able to switch providers easier but ultimately if the infrastructure isn't improved it won't make any difference to those worst affected.
