Mhari P
Bah Humbug indeed! I love Christmas. jingle bells, jingle bells tra la la la la I'm sure the xmas lights in my house use up less power that the computer you are currently using to leave your global warming comments! Fjool
^ Yeah, but you have both lights and computer, Mhari P I agree with Mr Kid; the lights do seem a bit foolish and old-fashioned. I spend all year telling my kids to turn off lights, close the fridge, swtich off the tv, etc... and for what? So that Lerwick can glow like the inside of lunatic's glove-compartment? Mhari P
^ ah fair point! But you have to remember, I'm in competition with my neighbours!! ha ha....only joking, but I do love the competitiveness of Christmas decorations in some areas. It can be quite ridiculous. Anyway, I do care about the melting ice caps. I have a glowing snowman in my garden......
Sudden Stop
You can buy solar powered LED xmas lights. No wiring needed, just stick the solar power battery pack thingy in the garden somewhere with the lights and BINGO, wait for night and they come on automatically! And no need to kill the planet...
