unlinkedstudent
My plan is to retire to the Isles. One more cantankerous OAP would make little difference. I am sure there is room for one more. I may even stand for Council. I am sure I could make a positive difference. Crumbs, I can't mentally handle reading this post this early in the morning. Besides, me thinks you'd be a mardy OAP. As for standing for Council, just how many headlines do you think Shetland can take regarding you being sozzled or outta ya skull each week? shetlandpeat
Awww. Your too kind. I was thinkig maybe next but one election. If all the committee meetings are monthly, I would have little timeFor anything else. It would work out at 15 a month. Three whole weeks a month, working days that is. Anyhow. Dinner time. shetlandpeat
Hmm, sounds ok, I am sure the Pay is ok too. It is still quite a number of meetings though. If I was a councillor, I would spend much of the time not at meetings meeting folk, it is a shock to find out that most folk do not know who their councillor is. EM
Here is an advantage we currently have over "most of the populated world": UARS could land anywhere between 57 degrees north and 57 degrees south of the equatorSo, no satellite landing on us tomorrow .
