sheepshagger
would anyone like to explain why the Western Isles and Argyle are to get a greater proportion of funding than Orkney or Shetland.maybe Derrick has an explanation for this tartan bias
sheepshagger
now I hear that visit shetland is going to be run from inverness, yet more undermining of our culture by the scoty. It seems we are going to have to invent a tartan for each of the "clans" up here just so we fit in with how they want us to be.this is no laughing matter little by little they will chip away at our identity until we are no more than the tartan shortbread facimile of bonny prince charlies bairns that they themselves have become.cant have a view of scotland other than the romantic highlander resplendant in his kilt(an english invention) screwed over by his english landlord. islandhopper
Two very important questions, sheepshagger, but I would suggest to the Mods to split them up into two different forums/threads. The first (use of EU-funds) has not neccessarily something to do with the second (VisitScotland concentrations) and I'm afraid that further discussion will end up in a mass if both of them are mixed ... NewMagnie
would anyone like to explain why the Western Isles and Argyle are to get a greater proportion of funding than Orkney or Shetland.maybe Derrick has an explanation for this tartan bias I suspect it has less to do with the Celtic Mafia and more to do with the Western Isles being pretty solid Labour territory. Plus its where the Weedgie based public sector mandarins go to play at the weekends. That and their being, on paper at least, a bit higher up on the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation. Investing in votes from regional areas who do not traditionaly vote for the nationalist party? We could benifit there then given as we, as a county, vote Lib Dem or do the SNP administartion feel that the Lib Dems are turning a semi yellow colour of nationalist?
