MJ
Having real problems finding anywhere that can make espresso in Lerwick. I've given up asking for doubles because they seem to think all that entails is adding more water. I tried that cariboui or what ever it's called, it is the worst yet. At least the lass in the ice cream place admitted that it was her first attempt and she did try! It's Christmas time, I can't go for a pint when it all gets too stressful so the next best thing used to be a caffeine fix. gave up on Olsa's a couple of years back, Peerie Shop's cafe is just getting worse, Olive tree never seems to be open and is too far out of the way.Any suggestions (other than taking coffe with me)? Carlos
Ah.... Spain and Portugal...... 2 or 3 cafes on every street, and mass desertion of customers if the price dares go above 35p for an espresso......

MJ
unfortunately had to give up with theirs. unfortunate. but I'm sure Emma wont miss my custom. Just like my espresso to have more coffee, less water and with at least some crema. But hey biding south for so long you get to be fussy like that, liking your coffee to at least resemble the drink you ask for.
gers-shetlander
Used to work at the Peerie Shop Cafe and used to get complimented for the strength of the espressos that I made with a layer of crema on top, however haven't worked there for a few years now so can't really comment on the standard now-a-days. MJ
last time I was there actually had to send my espresso back, some bright spark seemed to have thought a double espresso should take up more than half a coffee cup.My current strategy is to get Bo to do my coffee in the olive tree.
