Fifi
Feel free, mods, to merge this with other Amazon stuff if you want. From Moneysaving Expert email - Claim money back from Amazon What's this about? Amazon has a hidden price promise that if you buy something and it drops in price within 30 days you can get the difference back. That means if you did any Christmas shopping there you should check if the price has dropped in the sales, and if it has - claim the money back. How do you get it back? Amazon won't do this automatically, you'll need to go back and check the prices of the goods you've bought by logging into your account. Simply visit your account and look at each invoice from the last thirty days and click on each item to view its current price. Compare this to the price you paid and if there's a difference, copy down the order number and go to the 'Return and Refunds Contact Form' page to report it. Step by step instructionsLog into your Amazon accountClick on 'view orders placed in the last 6 months'Click on 'view order'Click on the item to see if the price has droppedClick on 'Help' followed by Contact Us, 'Customer Service'Once you've found the right order click on Contact Amazon, copy in the order reference number and explain you'd like a refund as the price has dropped. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Site below will monitor the prices of your Amazon purchases and send you an e-mail if they drop within the 30 days: http://www.nukeprice.com/webform.html
drewloe
Another tip when shopping at Amazon, don't know if its been mentioned here before but useful to have it here with the 30 day tip. If your purchase is just under £15 then use this site http://www.filleritem.com/uk.html to find an item that brings your order up to £15 to claim the free postage. in most cases you will spend less that having to pay postage and you get something for your money as well. One thing to be careful of though, if you're using the marketplace sellers sometimes this may not count towards the free delivery, so its always worth checking.
