righter
I am anti homeopathy, having been in the past a believer. I have looked into it in great detail now and find nothing to support it. The placebo effect is extremely powerful...and yes i gave it to my daughter as a baby, in desperation(which is when a lot of people turn to alternative medicine... it helped...or i should say appeared to help, but who does the observing of the results in babies and animals,we do,and we are fallible and have many cognitive bias. for instance, most minor illnesses/problems clear up of their own accord. we also only tend to only count "hits" when something works not the "misses" I might add,to the strange idea that homeopathy should or cannot be tested by conventional means, that no homeopath has ever accepted the challenge to distinguish between a "real" homeopathic remedy and a "fake" one. Besides,a double blind test can be set up to take into account individualisation of remedies. A homeopath diagnoses, prescribes, remedy is given (either "real" or "fake"...double blinded of course) check results. I won`t even go into the "rationale" behind homeopathy, because others can do it better than me....but here are some terms to google...dilution of homeopathic remedies, succussion, Berlin wall tincture(good one, very funny)
Dr. Nancy Malik
I found that link via your own personal web page which I found while looking for the page on the million dollar reward offered for any proof that homeopathy works. Isn't there still a year left to grab that? Good luck with that. Million Dollar reward equally well for ConMEd also http://www.spontaneouscreation.org/SC/$75,000VaccineOffer.htm // 1.2 million dollar challenge to allopaths http://www.naturalnews.com/023476.html , http://www.naturalnews.com/023475.html // 10 thousand dollar challenge to pharmaceuticals http://nch.ipbfree.com/index.php?showtopic=1537 //challange to prove homeopathy does not work
Dr. Nancy Malik
As Ben Goldacre said, All bow before the might of the placebo effect, it is the coolest strangest thing in medicine! PS. I really liked his book Bad Science. This article was included in it The End of Homeopathy. Give it a read! I would like you to to read "Beyond flat earth" to have a basic understanding of homeopathy http://www.drdooley.net/Book.pdf //beyond flat earth
Dr. Nancy Malik
James Randi explains homeopathy.Very good and quite funny, 14 minutes long. JB explains homeopathy better than James Randihttp://in.youtube.com/watch?v=4Zo-yUJ_2aI
Dr. Nancy Malik
A cure to Hepatitis B on one ... the very thing I'd say .. crikey what's wrong with the World Health Organisation that they've not figured this out already..? *sigh* ... close .. it's very close! According to WHO, homeopathy is now the second largest system of medicine in the world
Dr. Nancy Malik
troutMost likely after having gone around the x number of other forum boards they've signed up to distill their very own interpretation of medical know-how through quotes from other sites and moomin bits out of journals etc. etc. I'm wondering how long it will be till she's banned for spamming, I've encountered her on many forums, most of which she has been banned from. The trouble with Nancy is that she can't answer a direct question, and thinks that posting yet another spurious link, will suffice; well sorry Nancy but you'll have to try harder. I'm begining to think she might be a bot, Are you real Nancy? If you think I am able to answer you better than bot, I am real

Ghostrider
Isn't there some little clause in the T&Cs about spammers.....Hmmmm
Pooks
^Indeed there is. Constant link spamming without coherent discussion to back it up will be dealt with in no uncertain terms with a large mod stick. (In itself it is virtual, so in effect a placebo.) At the least she should not be allowed to include the "Dr" title in her user name. Despite numerous postings she consistently ignores the request to confirm she is legally entitled to be so termed. Of course user names need not be factually correct; Ghostrider may ride but is not dead etc. In her case, however, it relates to her "medical" agenda and accordingly is way-dodgy. khitajrah
I would like you to to read "Beyond flat earth" to have a basic understanding of homeopathy Having sucessfully completed the Health Food Institute Diploma course many years ago as well as being in the industry for over a decade I can safely assume that I already have "a basic understanding of homeopathy". How else do you think I could come up with the opinion I have?
