daveh
The community skips are always full when I get to them with some rubbish. Do they always fill up within an hour of arriving at a site?
Ghostrider
^^ Depends on where each individual skip is located broadly speaking, the nearer a main road or a significant numer of houses, the quicker it'll fill. Few in those localities will still have space after about 24 - 48 hours at most, less if a new skip is delivered on a Friday. If you don't want a wasted trip, find out the skip schedule for the area, wait until its the turn of one of the slower filling locations, then go there with the rubbish. daveh
^^Thanks for that. The problem is that around here, in Cunningsburgh, they are all filled very quickly; in fact, to the point of overflowing. I would feel guilty at putting rubbish onto a skip that was already obviously over-full. There is a schedule on the board at our local shop showing the dates that the skips are due but not the timing of it arriving. I guess that I will need to make a note of the date and go there a few times in the day until it is there and then pounce! I usually have to resort to storing my junk up and then making a trip to Gremista with my old trailer.
MaxFusion
Cunjo skips are usualy dropped off before nine Dave, from what I've noticed. Then they're generally full before lunchtime as you'll be aware... The only way I've managed to dump stuff in one of da local skips was when I noticed the truck dropping it off and by the time I'd filled a small trailer and traveled the half mile to where it was there'd already been a tractor dump a trailer full in!
