trowie246 Posted April 5, 2009 Report Share Posted April 5, 2009 I listened to the lunchtime news from the Northern Isles on 1st April. It reported that if an interconnector cable came to Orkney and Shetland that there would be a price increase in electricity to the Isles. I asked Aaron Priest about it at a Viking Energy exhibition and he said that as far as he knew it was an April Fools joke by radio Orkney. I don't know about anyone else but I didn't think it was all that funny - especially as this is exactly what some people are predicting might happen.
