shetlandbairn
Haha!! If we're having a confessional on strips, my first few were Rangers ones bought by my uncle... got to say I did have a fondness for the yellow flame goalie top in the early nineties. For some reason I've never gotten to the bottom of, I had a Dundee United away strip when I was about seven. I'm not sure if the fact it was sponsored by Belhaven shaped my drinking patterns in later life.
JohanofNess
I threw out a whole heap of shirts I got when I was at school, didn't appreciate how many I had, the 90's had some really whacky looking shirts.
Marooned in Maywick
There is nothing wrong with admitting you had a Heart of Midlothian home shirt. Oh, boy!!! I suppose a photo's too much to ask for
dumbo
i think rangers getting to the final however they played has to be a great thing. ok. some of there games were not pretty, but they have to play with there strengths, and the defense has been that. i for one will be at the clickimin tomorrow and i hope a lot of supporters of scottish football come to. if just for the beers:D [/u]
Frankie
I'm amazed at the criticism of Rangers style of play. There is no point playing attractive football if you don't win.In every sport it's results that count. In every sport defence is as important as attack. It is no consolation to be told '' you played a beautiful game though'' after you've been beaten. I'm sure that if Rangers do happen to win tomorrow night, no Rangers fan will be worried about how they played. p.s. My first football top was a Hearts one too. The alternative was a Hibs one though so that maybe explains my choice !!

You're quite right and that was something that annoyed me when people criticised Greece winning Euro 2004 with the way they played. But I also believe Rangers style of football won't have won many admirers over europe... hence the argument that a win for them is good for Scottish football doesn't really wash. (Of course you might win the final 6-0!) I admire Rangers achievements this year and if they go onto win the quadruple I'd argue it's one of the greatest sporting seasons of all time... I just hate being told by others I should support them "for the good of Scottish football" when it almost certainly doesn't benefit Falkirk (and you could argue it actually has a negative effect on us). lamar
If the Scottish Clubs in Europe can consistently do well, then this can be used as an argument to UEFA to allocate more spaces for scottish clubs in European competition. Surely this would be good for Scottish football

Surely this would be good for Scottish football I don't think (although I'm willing to be corrected) that you actually get any more co-efficient points for winning the UEFA Cup compared to just being in the final. Frankie
^^I think you are correct. The points have already been tallied up for next season.http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/data/method3/trank2008.html It looks like Rangers would be in pot 2 of the Champions League Groups if they manage to win SPL this season. Frankie
^^I don't think I've ever said anything is won 'till it's won. Incidently, on 15th April I put a bit of cash on Celtic to win the league because I could see the way it could pan out, and reckoned odds of 9/2 was pretty good, so I stand to win a handsome amount if Celtic do go on and win the league. ££££££££££££££££££ ££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££or It's really a win win situation I'm enjoying just now. deardron
ZENIT WON!!! I've never been a fan of this team, I'm certainly extremely happy that they won yesterday just as a Russian team, but what impressed me most is the quality of their play and especially of their goals, both in yesterday's game and 2 weeks ago when they did Bayern 4:0. At the same time it's surprising to see the UEFA Cup go to a team that in early May took the 10th place in our championship.
markj
Congratulations to Zenit, last night was a victory for football. Fast flowing direct football with two fantastic goals, a joy to watch. Dobre Den, slava Russia
