Should Shetland Motorists Pay UK Road Tax?

We pay through the nose for our fuel due to....(freight? or Shetlanders are used to being duped)

why are we paying road tax for our vehicles when most of us never use a motorway,

why not pay UK Mainland Road Tax for however many days you take your vehicle onto the mainland....thoughts.
