MJ
Okay I'm a wee bit rusty when it comes to computers, to be honest, I've got very little idea of how they work, but all of a sudden I've got banner ads appearing across the "forum" pages making reading things a wee bit difficult.I've just checked on firefox and it's the banner that appears at the bottom of the screen. How do I fix my microsoft explorer so don't have to swap browsers to view shetlink.Thanx in advanceMJ
trooter
I found this happening earlier too. Nothing to do with your setup.

trout
Is this still happening for folk? We were attempting a little development work to do with the whole footer. Things should be back to normal?
trooter
Yes got half way through reading what you'd written before it was obscured.
trout
^^ Can you give more clarity to your statement. Is the same thing happening still? Can you give a screenshot too to help understand what is going on. Browser type etc. would also be helpful.
sassermaet
It's happening to me too. I fear there is a trow in the system, causing trouble...
shetlandcars
Heres a screen shot of the problem:http://www.netmgr.co.uk-a.googlepages.com/footer.jpg im using IE8, however I dont expect that others are as its still in betaThe ad remains in the same place all the time, page scrolling doesn't affect it
Ghostrider
^^ I wasn't having any problem before, but I'm getting the same as is on the screenshot today. Am using IE7........for my sins [Edit] It's also almost impossible to post, the same thing appears on the posting window page, for the initial post it prevents scrolling down the pre-existing posts on the thread which appear below, and that banner all but obscures the 'post" button.
