Treachery and betrayal I hear you cry!

"Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it in for me!".

Facetious I know but this is turning into a 'Carry On' farce without the well thought out subtlety. Mr Hill please just stop.

I can add a poll on this thread...

What options do you want?

I think a new thread is probably better, I think we should leave this one for Stuarts continuing antics.

What options? now there's a good question...

The whole question of more autonomy or full independence isn't something you can simply ask folk - most won't have a clue what it'll actually mean to them personally or for the islands as a whole.

Despite what he's said above, his website makes it clear that full independence is the goal of his campaign.

Ask anyone, anywhere in the UK if they want more independence from Westminster and they'll automatically say 'yes' without even considering the implications, it's human nature.

The issue here for me is Stuart Hills delusion claiming to represent the majority of Shetland in his seemingly one man oddball campaign.

For me the question is simply 'Do you support Stuart Hills campaign?'

Independence has been discussed before, and will be again. Please refer to this thread for further information:

http://www.shetlink.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=648&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Please do not start another thread. If you wish to run a poll on stuart hill, this "stuart hill" thread is the obvious place to do so.

Edit - I might add that if the question was posed in the simple form suggested in the above post, it will undoubtedly be unsuitable for expression of the opinions already portrayed in this thread by other posters. I would suggest any poll must take in more of the opinions discussed thus far or it would be of little point and mis-representative conclusion.

The police asked me if I wanted to file a complaint, but I declined. Those who did the deed have to live with what they’ve done in the knowledge that they’ve brought shame on their community.

Shame on Sandness? Who says they were from Sandness? This would suggest to me that you know who did it? Do you? Or are you just making assumptions?

To the real people of Sandness, I thank you for your support.

 The real people of Sandness? Boy du doesna hiv a clue.

Just waiting for the block vote from Sandness in favour, will Skeld follow suit just like the Eurovision

I dont dare attempt to speak for the hard working people of skeld but i doubt you would find to many voting to elect stuart to the council. yet with some of the jokers we have he may just fit in.

Sandness is a real beauty spot in our islands. The people of Sandness know this and I dont think they are thanking you Stuart for dumping that wreck on their road.

If you wanted your point to be taken seriously then you should have towed somewhere nearer Lerwick. Perhaps you were you too scared to do this?

I stay in Sandness, the folk I spoke to were very unhappy at the wreck being dumped.

Nederlander, you and I have been told the same story, from the same reliable source methinks.

Oh, you may want to take a look closer to home as to whom destroyed your little experiment, I have it on good authority that they are rather close to your "Sandness Assoiciates"! Treachery and betrayal I hear you cry

Had the flying debris taken me off my bike, would Forvik's insurance cover my claim?

When I first heard of Mr. Hill's research and claims, I thought it was quite interesting, I like History and am always keen to see a talk or lecture, television or radio programme on historical events.

I even read various pamphlets Mr. Hill published and some of the articles in his rag. You have to admit it was interesting research.

Now I am afraid it has all gone beyond interesting and it is becoming an embarrasment. The folk of Sandness got bored very quickly with that last little stunt.

Don't care what you get up to on Forewick Holm, just "don't do it in the street and frighten the horses"

Stuart

I speak as an English person about to move to Shetland. What I find extremely distasteful is that you are not from Shetland. If those born, residing, etc., in Shetland decided to challenge it, so be it but it really gets on my nerves that you feel you have the right to do this (and by residing I mean prior to the protest and as far as I'm aware, you were not).

You should pay road tax, everyone else does. What gives you the right to have defences on the shoreline? Silly me, come and view a plot of land that I have no right to sell you and you'll get blown up.

Quite simply Stuart, I regard you as an embarrassment to England; let alone anywhere else.

I speak as a Shetland person, who wanders why English people like you bypass the whole of Scotland to come to Shetland.

Stuart is part of these Islands more so than you will ever be, he lives with a Shetlander, pays his own way and does not rely on Social Housing, as you will. (Correct me if I am wrong).

I believe you are leaving one of the worst Bourghs of London to move here. I find the fact that we will have to put up with you extremely distasteful.
