mogling
http://www.animalvoice.com/catpur.htm Fascinating! ... is that why my cats clamber all over me and purr when I'm ill or upset?
Marooned in Maywick
Could be a mutually beneficial arrangement when your cats come a-clambering. Presumably you'll clap them when they come up for a clap, thus ensuring they receive a free massage - and I defy anyone (even a cat) not to feel good after a gentle massage - and in return they'll purr, thus making you clap more, they'll purr more, you'll clap more etc until they get fed up and go looking for food. And you'll be left with the nice, warm, fluffy 'Awww, I was nice to the cat' feeling. And people try and claim dogs are clever...hmmmph
