Sculder
I was wondering if anyone has had similar problems with this horrible piece of software? 4OD player failed to open on me recently so I went through the usual avenues to install it ie add/remove programs. However, when trying to remove it I get a windows msi installer error which prevents me from either repairing the program or removing it from the system. I tried to remove it completely from my system using CCleaner but can't get rid of the Kontiki folder in program files. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'll be sticking to BBCi player from now on! JustMe
I use this http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/ to get rid of things that will not delete. Sometimes takes a while but gets there in the end.
ArabiaTerra
The BBC iplayer also uses the Kontiki program and the iplayer and 4od programs don't share very well. It is recommended (on the BBC iplayer forums anyway) not to install both of these players at the same time. I was actually thinking of trying the 4od player again after having problems a few months ago but it sounds like they haven't sorted it out yet so I won't bother. Is anyone else running both of these programs successfully?
khitajrah
I am running both players successfully - never had a problem yet ~knock on wood~.

trout
The sheer fact that you have to download software and install it to watch Ch4 programmes made me go ... meh! I'd rather watch paint dry.
Nigel Bridgman-Elliot
You might find this piece of software useful for dealing with it as it offers more control: http://odmonitor.blogspot.com
Fjool
Don't have to download anything to watch C4 programmes now. The service is really good; loads to choose from. Other than the BBC's iPlayer ( http://www.shetlink.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4140 , there must be other free-to-view TV channels available... are there? Edit: Hmm... seems I'm just talking about 'Catchup' rather than 'On demand'. Might still be something to install for the OD service. Meh. I'll just use Catch Up in that case. tarotangel
I had a problem with 4OD but I was advised to download Windows (I can hear people spitting) Media Player 11 and it worked didn't have any problems after that.
khitajrah
...there must be other free-to-view TV channels available... are there? ITV has a player as well. I've not used it in awhile though, not since the last series of Wire in the Blood finished.
