sassermaet
This might seem like a weird request, but I wondered if it was possible to disable a touch pad mouse on your laptop somehow? I recently bought this laptop and am generally quite pleased with it. However, deciding that I couldn't be bothered with a touch pad mouse I bought a proper one with USB connectivity. However, even though the USB mouse is connected to the laptop, the touch pad mouse is still activated, which comes to be a major inconvenience when typing. Can anyone help me please? VR665
Not sure for this exact laptop but sometimes there's an option in control panel, mouse to disable it. I guess you could temporarily disable the driver in your hardware, maybe this would work? Is there a function key that can be used to disable the touchpad? Quick Google found a suggestion to move the palm check slider to max on another Acer Aspire model, not sure what this is.....? sassermaet
Thanks for your help - I discovered pressing Fn and F7 at the same time disables the touch pad until you restart the computer without the USB mouse plugged in. Thanks again!
