daveh
I am thinking of getting a trailer for my Ford Focus so I can lug things like wood, composts, seaweed around. Where can I get a trailer and get the necessary electrics done in Shetland? What sort of price would I have to pay? Thanks

daveh
True, young lady. I have been collecting some seaweed from the beach and transporting it, albeit in sacks, in the car is not a great idea. Hence my thoughts of getting a trailer; not as big as the one you used!! I have absolutely no idea as to where to get one or how much these things are.

beachcaster
Try JB's Autoshop, they have small galvanised trailers in stock at reasonable prices. Or you could try some of these... http://www.aberdeentrailers.co.uk/index.html http://www.trailer.co.uk/ http://www.iwt.co.uk/home.htm http://www.towitall.co.uk/ http://www.ajgrant.co.uk/ Any garage will be able to fit a towbar and electrics to your car. engineer21
there are a few places in lerwick u can get trailers Burgess, Herculean sell them however depends really what you are after you pay for what you get iam afriaid if you buy a cheap one from burgess it mite not last as long as you think as they are cheaply made and not very strong i would try garriock Bros as they sell mainly Ifor Willaims trailersthats the ones most crofters etc use and they are def the best you can buy i know from experience.there are a huge range of these also i would deff get a price from them and they always have a few in stock in the car park.
