Audi warranty for Shetland customers

The main point I was making was the fact that I was not made aware by the seller that Bixter had lost its approval from Audi to do warranty work. The SMMT code of practice states that the dealer must inform the purchaser in plain english what if any changes his home location may have on warranty cover. The Bixter garage is not a Audi dealer but they are "audi approved service agents".The SMMT quotes says it MAY affect the warranty. My repair was done with the approval of Audi although I did have to make a few calls. As for going outwith Shetland to buy a car and not supporting our local businesses, what would you have done if you get offered next to nothing for a trade in.I GOT AN EXTRA £1400 in Aberdeen.I generally try to find out all the facts before any mud slinging.

PS. I am unwilling to donate this £1400 to the Save the local destitute garage owners in Shetland campaign. This issue applies to all makes of cars so just ask the question if they are not forthcoming with the info.

Daveh, I think there's quite a lot of them because they take forever to rust

(they're galvanised shells) they seem to run for a while with very little maintenance and they're relatively cheap to run too, my boss gets around 45-48mpg from his ole V reg non-hdi version. Hdi engined one's should get you closer to 55mpg ;)
