Do you really think that Shetlinkers are that stupid?

Clicking on anything, including the paypal donation link, is just a way of infecting your computer with crap.

Before anyone takes you seriously, Rasmie, I will point out that Paypal is about as safe as it gets when making online payments. And no, nothing will infect your computer.

Damnit tlady,

I'll say this only once.....

I'm Auld Rasmie.....

The poster known as Rasmie is a gentleman, and has never been bolshy in his life.

Albeit, he may be older than me, but that's beside the point.

Now, what was this topic?

I rest my case your honour

Half a bottle of wine, a few beers, then all hell let loose.

I went to the top of this page, found the screen capture posted by GR, spent ages clicking on a red X, before I was informed by a much more sober person than me, that it was a screen capture...

For some strange reason she thinks I'm pissed,,, where's that 'Drunk Zone' thread?

Ok, back on topic!

If you're blocking the ads, please do make a Paypal donation instead; otherwise you're denying Shetlink any way of paying for the bandwidth used.

I don't understand this. I thought that page adverts only generated income when clicked on. Do these pay just on being shown?

All contracts are different, so i dunno what Shetlinks deal is, but we're paid per view, with a bonus for referrals (clicks).

Think yourselves lucky, most places would ban any user mentioning ad-blockers immediately!

(I've also yet to see an ad-blocker that doesn't place more load on a system than an animated advert)

You can also, of course, simply turn off animations in your browser if moving ads annoy you, but then since that doesnt involve downloading some random, insecure little add-on program, you dont see that given as a piece of advice very often..
