Apple under attack!

Success will always attract the wrong kind of attention, but you would expect the unquestionably wealthy former Beatles to have no requirement to top up their retirement fund, but alas, they have taken offence at Apple Computers recent success and have decided to sue them for copyright infringement (Again!) over use of the name Apple.

 

The "Apple" or "Apple Corps" name was used by the beatles for recording purposes and when Apple computers were blossoming in 1981 the Beatles took umbrage and sued for the first time. Full details of the history of this case are available. HERE

 

 

While at the same time, in France, Apple Computers are being attacked by the French government, no less, to allow the use of non-Apple MP3 players with the iTunes Music Store software! Why? It's beyond me. It seems like an equality too far to me. French Equality here?

 

Have the french and the Beatles got a bad case of sour grapes? Or just greed in the Beatles case?
